58 59 "SysMind" - an Erasmus+ project Two PILGRIM institutions, the University College of Christian Churches of Teacher Education Vienna/Krems with its Centre for Education for Sustainable Development and Spirituality, and the University College for Agricultural and Environmental Education (HAUP), have jointly taken the initiative and launched a three-year Erasmus project at university level. Three universities and three teacher training colleges from six European countries are taking part in this Erasmus+ project. The name of the project is: "SysMind" – "Sustainability and Mind". Duration: April 2022 – June 2024. The aim of the project is: 1. the development of knowledge about intercultural and interreligious answers to questions of sustainable development, 2.the further development of existing concepts of education for sustainable development (green pedagogy or PILGRIM pedagogy) in conjunction with tools from diversity research and the integration of ecological, economic and social approaches, 3. the integration of modern e-learning concepts to implement the content-related challenges and to adapt to national challenges. The first international meeting was organised by the Department of Education for Sustainable Development and Spirituality of the KPH Vienna/Krems in cooperation with the HAUP and the International Education Network PILGRIM in Vienna. The European project participants were very interested in various methods of PILGRIM pedagogy that are being developed in Viennese schools and teacher training colleges. They were sent the documents on the PILGRIM model to implement them in their respective countries during the course of the project. SysMind – Second meeting in North Macedonia The second transnational meeting of the project team took place in Skopje/Macedonia at the end of September 2022. There, the international group was able to experience an excellent work and cultural programme. A thorough discussion took place on the topic of the curriculum for the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) programme. As a result, the draft curriculum was created and presented for discussion. Equally important was the exchange on spirituality, values and meaning. A key idea which emerged was that the focus of the curriculum should be on integrating the spiritual approach into the topic of sustainability. "SysMind" – Third meeting in Spain The aim of the meeting in Spain was to create a curriculum for teachers who want to implement sustainability topics in their lessons in connection with spirituality in its philosophical and interreligious dimension. After the conclusion of the project, this curriculum should be filled with concrete teaching units and available to be accessed online for all interested teachers as a "Massive Open Online Course" (MOOP). In addition to the work of the project participants from the university sector, the experiences of 3 teachers from the PILGRIM schools in Vienna – VBS Akademiestraße, and Lower Austria – BRG Purkersdorf, were incorporated into the project. They took part in the LTTs (learning-teaching activities) in Spain. Together with teachers from six European countries, they worked on the following three modules: Module 1: "Sustainability - a question of technology, economics or values? Efficiency and consistency or justice, solidarity, tolerance" Module 2: "Diversity Management for a Sustainable Lifestyle" - Intercultural Competence: Professional Culture, Interreligiousity and Sustainability" Module 3: "Evaluation of sustainability strategies in vocational training - assessment of learning processes for sustainability". The work process is progressing intensively and the 20 years of pedagogical experience from the PILGRIM schools, colleges and universities is already being implemented in this project at an international level and perceived as a new development in some European countries.
