102 103 Corporate social responsibility in school "Sustainability" has become a must in the economy for modern companies as "CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility". CSR encompasses environmental and social concerns as well as measures to respect human dignity. A charging station for two vehicles was installed. As every summer, several windows were replaced. The needs of people with physical disabilities were taken into account by creating a reserved car park, redesigning the entrances and the maintaining of a stair lift. Letter marathon - "Together we are strong" To take an active stand against injustice, participate politically and show a sign of solidarity, pupils took part in a letter marathon initiated by Amnesty International. In encouraging messages to women who are exposed to numerous reprisals because of their commitment to human rights, the pupils want to encourage the human rights activists and strengthen them in their fight for human rights. We are a "Vitalküche" (vitality kitchen)! In addition to the more (health-)conscious design of the cafeteria’s menu and the snacks on offer in line with nutritional science recommendations, the hot drinks vending machine was also converted to "fair trade products" and the range of cold drinks vending machines was changed to low-sugar or sugar-free products as part of this project. Numerous other activities such as the introduction of the school fruit programme, the "Apple Day" or the implementation of "Healthy Snack Days" in the primary school and the new secondary school accompany this “Vitalküche”-award and have become an integral part of everyday school life. Lidia Wojsznis, MA Principal of the Maria Grzegorzewska Special School Complex No. 103 in Poznań Member of the Management Board of PILGRIM in Poland What PILGRIM has given us, or a few words about the experiences of the first PILGRIM institution in Poland Many new ideas emerge worldwide every day. Some remain in the realm of philosophical considerations, while many of are not reflected in everyday life. However, in my opinion, good and valuable ideas are those that, beyond their philosophical message and scientific foundation, translate into real actions, confirming their rightful direction, with tangible effects for others and the world. An example of real functioning in the social space, particularly in the educational space, are the principles defined within the idea of the PILGRIM movement – "Living Consciously – Giving Future". In this statement, I want to emphasise the values, emotions, and areas that are constantly progressing due to coherence with the PILGRIM message. What does this movement give us? Let's answer a simple question - why are we part of it? It is clear to education professionals that we are building the future here and now, every day, in contact with others and based on the universal values we live by. Where, if not at school, can adults and children work together to implement and evaluate the practical realisation of various projects? Moreover, step by step, discover the added values that, overlooked in planning activities, appear as gifts of fate? In practical action under the auspices of the PILGRIM movement, apart from undertaking real tasks of ecological or educational nature, we acquire and share concrete knowledge based on scientific findings. By developing and implementing new solutions among increasingly larger groups of people, we increase our awareness and knowledge of the limitations and resources that we can use in our daily actions for the wider world. This awareness does not leave us indifferent to the environment and does not lull us into the belief that it does not concern us. Thanks to being sensitised to the awareness of the tasks ahead of us, we carry the message that much depends on each of us, even if they are small, minor steps. However, when taken by many, they have the chance to turn into significant effects on climate, health, and education. We start to live
